This is our new Easter table cloth in all it's colored glory. I have this great idea that every year we will use this table cloth for coloring eggs and every year we will get a new "spot" on it and when the kids are old we will have this greatly colorful table cloth for Easter dinner/breakfast. I love tradition.

This was our nest last week! Aren't they beautiful? Look how small they are too.

This is Easter morning.

Easter Bunny left us a note. He told the children all about our Savior and His gift to us, and the reason we celebrate the egg on Easter. It was a great note that Daddy read, he may have ad-libbed a bit for me. Haha!

(Yes, that is ranch...Alan's idea. Calvin tried to tell him that bunnies don't like ranch.)

Life here is gloomy and a bit drizzly. We are having a lot of crummy weather, but not as bad as some in the South. I am grateful for my blessings. The Sun did actually come out for a little while this morning, it got me started on my day and I'd like to say that a little sunshine has been in my heart ever since. I LOVE sunshine, I love when it streams in through the binds decorating my house is beautiful stripes. I love when it peaks in after a rainy day or week. ;0) I do however miss the warmth of the sun. Our furnace is still runnin strong.

Life is good, we are making plans for when we move on to the next step in our life. We are discussing our different options for associateships and preceptorship . Life here is comfortable, I love our friends and neighbors and our beautiful house we have made a home. I will miss everything about Iowa, except maybe the winters. Hehehe. I'm sure I will always consider Iowa as my home.

Though I am already starting to miss Iowa, and I am also having visions of On the Boarder and Bahama Bucks and Palm trees. There are always steps to life and this one is a big one, one that I know will change us forever. We look forward to being extremely successful and enjoying every minute of it.

Our Easter was GREAT! The children left some carrots out for the Easter Bunny.

We had to explain to him that the Easter Bunny is not like regular bunnies, he's a little different, he's special.

We heard a peep on Easter morning and when we went to check out the nest we found these.

Happy Conference Weekend!

Another nest....I am choosing to enjoy it though, there is something beautiful about the whole thing. It also helps that one of my besties posted this. I am pretty excited to see some eggs in there soon. Okay, you can stay. But I'm kicking you out once those babies are out'n flyin.

Caleb makes the best faces, When people try to talk to him, he does this face and then sticks out his tongue. He's a little stinker, but a super lover boy!

Today Ellie was a handful, to say the least, I lost my cool a few times and she may have shed a few tears on my account. It was a quick bed time and bed time ritual, quick family prayer, 2 verses from The Book of Mormon, quick stories, quick personal prayers and kisses good night, no drinks of water.

Alan is off to Priesthood Session of Conference. I find great comfort in conference weekend. I LOVE Saturday session, the more I can get out of Conference weekend the better. I am so grateful to a husband who taught me that Conference is a weekend, not just Sunday. Saturday sessions hold so much that I would be so sad if I missed any of it.

We had snacks during first session, then Alan and I Skyped(greatest thing EVER) with our awesome friends who have left us....haha! Then Alan played with the children outside while I grabbed some groceries before 2nd session. We had bugers and tuna salad(my FAVE) for dinner. The older kids wouldn't eat, but they each got a bit of Caleb's delicious applesauce. Today Calvy asked what "this" was, I told him they were organic raisins. Then Ellie came in a few minutes later and asked for some "ganic waisims". ;0)

I hope you are having a GREAT weekend. I am looking forward to this next week, I have kind of a fun surprise.

Too many funny things I can not forget.

During dinner the other night Alan was telling Calvy that if he could not stop burping at the table we were going to have to sell him to the Orphanage and get a new little boy.

M: Maybe this new little boy won't burp so much.

C: But he will.

A: How much do you think you would sell for, how much could we get for you?

C: Stare

A: Could we get a lot for you?

C: Ya, like 5 dollars.

A: Wow, that's a lot. How much for me?

C: Like 7.

A: How much for Ellie?

C: Like 8.

A: How much for cute Caleb?

C: Like 9.

A: How much for Mommy?

C: Like 20, 000.

E: "did my bad guys never have a dream?"

We really like Tangled in our house, as I am sure you do in yours. All day everyday Ellie throws little quotes from that movie into our daily lives.

While going throw Calvy's closet I told him we had to get rid of some shirts, and told him he could pick out 10 that he would like to keep. After picking the shirts he wanted I asked him if he'd like to keep one that was his favorite, but didn't pick. He said he would, so we traded one of the other ones. Then when we were done I asked if he was sure he didn't want to trade another because he didn't get to keep one that he really liked, he replied, "I know, but I'm still happy" How do you get cuter than that?

M: "Are you sure you don't want to wear your Peter Pan Jammies?"

C: "No I just don't want to, I still love him, he's just not my favorite."

Calvy has been hysterical lately, seriously the things that come out of that boys mouth.

Lovin/huggin on the couch in one of those moments where life is perfect and you love your kids so much you could die.

M: I love you so much!

C: I love you too.

M: You are getting so big. Why do you keep growing?

C: Because I have to. I need to grow up, I wan to be just like my daddy.

Commenting on Caleb's new shirt he was wearing, a shirt handed down to him from Calvy.

C: Awe, Caleb looks like a clown.

M: Oh, I think he looks cute.

C: He is cute, clowns are cute and funny they make people laugh, that's just what they do.

In Primary, two weeks in a row.

Bishop: What is the theme for Primary this year?

C: I like to eat chocolate!

laughs....

Teacher: What kinds of things are bad for out bodies?

Children: smoking. drinking. etc.

Teacher: Ok, now what things are good for our bodies?

C: Smoking Crack!

What?! Honestly Alan and I have NEVER said this...EVER. I have no idea where he got this from. After we got a call from the Primary Pres, who is also my BFF, we had a talk with him, it went a little something like this:

A: Hey bud, what did you say to the teacher when she asked what was good for our bodies?

C: What?

A: Someone said that you said "smoking crack"

C: I didn't say that.

A: are you sure? What did you say? They said that you said that.

C: I didn't say that, Carson did.

So now we don't know if he really did say that, or if he said it because another kid said it, or if he is just totally lying to us. When did this start!?

Every Sunday after Relief Society, I am told another funny thing that Calvy has said during Sharing time. The Pres said that whenever Calvy opens his mouth, everyone stops to hear what he has to say. He is definitely my son, the class clown. Gotta love that!

Ellie is her own person, she thinks every color is pink and wears my shoes or princess shoes and flowers and dresses. She loves clothes and shoes and LOVES boys. Yet again, another me. Haha! Hopefully she doesn't do to me, what I did to my parents.

Caleb likes food. He is only happy when food is in front of him or if I'm holding him...which happens to be food to....hmm.

All of my kids love music, Calvy and Ellie sing all day long, they love Tangled and singing the songs. Caleb loves when I sing them to him. I am so thankful they love music, it is something Alan and I love and always have in the house. We can't wait to put the kids in piano lessons.

Life is so busy and lots of stuff going on with Clinic and patients and trying to find time to workout, time doesn't always allow me to blog, so I will try much harder but for right now you can enjoy these pictures.

Look at these cupcakes, awesome right?! My good friend made these, she's kind of a baking phenomenon. We threw a baby shower for a very good friend. It was a blast and she is the cutest prego ever.
The whole group, tons of fun and tons of good food.
Homemade tomato and spinach pizza. Not the best crust, I chose the easy way out, should have done Matt's. Oh well. Calvy said "I don't like your pizza Mommy" I couldn't blame him, it wasn't that great.
