St. Patty's Day!

Oh yes we wore green today!

We had the best day, we ate everything green and wore green, it brought a whole new meaning to us being a green family. ;0)

I was thankful I found this, with just a swirl of green I figured it wasn't as bad.

We woke up and had green swirl french toast with Green Machine juice, and Karo Pancake Syrup which BTW the first 2 ingredients are corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup...not kidding(but we did eat it, haha)

They LOVED their Naked juice, but that's pretty much a staple in our house, we LOVE Naked.

I love his face. This green swirl breakfast is so boring.

Then for lunch my BFF came over and we had the most fantastic meal ever! The pictures say it all. Seriously fun lunch, esp because my friend and I were able to just chat the whole time and take pictures and laugh and make fun of people who can knit sweaters because we are so jealous. Hahaha!

Caleb did not like something in his mouth, so he cried. ;0) But he's holding tight to that celery.

Calvy's juice spilt and we made a big deal over it being so cool, so for the rest of the day he spilled his drink, cute but not so funny, esp when it's on my phone.

Look at that cutie. Ellie ate grapes and apples and celery for lunch, she wouldn't touch her sandwich...

Maybe that's why. that looks disgusting! She said she wanted the head though, she wanted to eat the cherry eyeballs. This is the peanut butter and jelly side so it looks especially gross(a.k.a. almond, cashew butter without sugar and organic preserves with fruit juice concentrates instead of sugar)...where do I find this stuff??? Haha!

Then for dinner we had a "classic" Irish dinner

Corned beef, cabbage, fried potatoes, green beans and special pudding for dessert.

I was actually planning to make green Jell-O for dessert, but who knew it took 4 hours to set instead of 20minutes??? And if you say you did I'll cyber slap you. ;0) So plan B, make pudding and dye it green...it was such a pretty yellow that I decided to put a little green as an accent and a few things lead to another and this is what I made, and cutie little Shamrock.

I'll tell you how I made everything, over on my food bloggity.

Today I learned that I really don't like corned beef, but that I can definitely get full and happy on potatoes and cabbage. It was such a fun day, I loved every minute!

P.S. Do you know the real story behind St. Patrick? Pretty interesting, like the reason why we use Shamrocks, look it up it's cool to find the history behind traditions. As weird as traditions may be, some are SO fun and they make us happy and that is why we celebrate.

I'm starting a new Easter tradition in our house, I'll tell you all it later...I'm pretty excited.

This morning we woke up and danced to "Lollipop", Planet 51 version, and it is all because Ellie again told us all that we have lollipops. Haha!

P.S. Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day! We will have a whole day of green food and clothes and possible diarrhea for a week because of all the food coloring.....we'll just see. ;0)

What do I say about this???? Just funny it drives me monkey!

My dryer is calling my name reminding me that I have warm fluffy sheets to put on my kiddos beds, Calvy is calling my name reminding me that Ellie is asleep so that means it's movie time, and last but not least the huge pile of laundry sitting on the couch is calling my name as well.

Today is actually a great day, I have done laundry and changed bedding, had leftover taco soup for lunch, have dinner in the crock pot(pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw...mmmm)

*PAUSE* I totally just got Skyped by my cousin Dustin. I LOVE Skype, so fun. If you have, look me up and we can chat!

My BFF came over to chat for a few and let the kids play. We are trying out potty training with Ellie and I feel great. And Calvy said this prayer over lunch and we had this conversation:

C: "Please bless my robot will get a head, and will put jammas on my head and will carry toys and play with me and share."

M: "That was a great prayer Calvy, very entertaining."

C: "What does that mean?"

M: "It means it was funny." oh crap, I shouldn't have said that

C: "My prayers are NOT funny."

M: "No not funny, it just makes me happy."

C: "Oh, well you can't talked to me when I eat, you can just wait when I'm done you can talk to me."

M: "Okay."

We used the law of attraction last night and Alan got another parking passs for school, which is awesome, because if you don't get it you have to park at least 3 blocks away, and it adds a lot of time to your morning and night. SO Awesome! I used it this morning and too, I envisioned all of my children waking up with smiling, happy faces, and all 3 did, it has been a great morning.

Ellie: "Calvy Calvy! Guess What! We have Lollipops!"

Calvy: "I know!"

Ellie is always telling us and everyone else that we have lollipops, and I'm thinking it might be because they got UGE lollipops for Valentine's Day. She seems to tell us when we are all talking excitedly and wants something to say too, so she tells us about the lollipops that have been in the trash for weeks now. hahaha!

Awesome!: Spring in creaping around the corner! I feel a BBQ coming on......

Guardian Angels

So I've got my pineapple sentsy going and at it is heavenly, almost makes it feel like summer, except for the frozen fingers and toes and I type this out. My kids are begging me to make paper airplanes with them and I am tired. haha!

I am thinking staying up to midnight each night and waking up at 6:30 is no longer a good idea. I need some sleep pronto.

I am hoping to be a better mom soon and take some more fun pictures and do some fun crafts. I found some paint on sale so I am hoping to get my bench painted and padded very soon. I also got some paint for the kids room, now I just need to decide on the color. Holy goodness! I do love to decorate. It seems I a hoping a lot these days, lets say I am a great mom and I can't wait to start my projects!

C: "Dear Heavenly Father, please bless me to be able to get big and drive a car."

E: "Wait for Caleb! Wait for Caleb!(while pulling out of the driveway)"

M: "Honey he's already in the car silly. He's right here."

E: "Oh."

This morning it was REALLY hard to get out of bed. I had to get up early to help out a good friend who has mastitis for the 2 time with this baby and it sounds to me that she has exactly what I have. Ugh, chop our boobs off!!!

Anyway, so we had to get out of bed a little earlier than usual so we could get her older girls to school on time. My alarm went off twice, then I got a text message and I still didn't get out of bed. When Calvy and Ellie walked in literally 2 seconds later, I finally got up. I was a little grumpy and very tired while I sleepily put on my clothes and while I made breakfast. Then Calvy came into the kitchen, with Ellie holding her blankie and suckin her binkie looking up at me while I scrabbled some eggs, Calvy says :

"I heard someone talking to me when I was in my bed."

"Who was it?"

"It sounded like Heavenly Father or the Angels."

"What did they say?"

"Yesterday they told me to roll over."

"Ya? What did they say today?"

"Uh, they told me to get out of bed."

I know my Father in Heaven loves me, I know Calvin got out of bed to make sure that I got out of bed, because He not only loves me, but love my friend too. I asked Calvin about it again just now and he said "It sounded like Heavenly Father or the Angels, and when they were done talking to me they just went away."

I wonder if it was my Grandma?

P.S. My Bro in law proposed to his girl last night, so looks like a summer wedding. We'll see all ya'll Arizonians in May/June!

Oh, Honey bunches of oats

(Astronauts in Outer-Space)

Alan is away studying for boards....story of my life lately. I am typing to the sounds of Caleb slurping on fruit leather, it sounds a bit like if I were being sucked into a vacuum after jumping into a pool, pretty funny actually.

The children were all sleeping soundly, the oldest are still, but little Caleb has gas or just has an attitude against sleeping right now, either way I rewarded it with a piece of apricot fruit leather. ;0) I am snacking on my favorite snack these days...original flavor corn nuts. I claim they are not bad for me because the ingredients consist of corn, corn oil and salt, so that's good enough for me.

I went to my Chiro, Dr. D, in Chicago on Monday and got new X-rays and a new adjustment. Hello! Made such a difference, I feel like a new woman. I am sure it is a placebo effect mixed with the most amazing chiropractic care ever, placebo or not it is awesome! I also watched "The Secret", which I highly recommend, and I have a new outlook on life. Once Alan and I get a chance we are going to put our order into the Universe and await it's arrival. ;0) In all seriousness, I do believe it, if anything it will help you to be a better version of yourself, which I'm pretty excited for. Plus the first thing they tell you to do it count your blessings, how cool is that.

I am hosting Pre-School this week and today was our first day. It was a blast, we learned about Outer-space, the letter S and our shape was a star. We learned about our solar system and and about astronauts, we made our own planets(dyed eggs) and astronaut helmets and wore a star necklace with our first initial on it. We had a lot of fun, I am definitely looking forward to Friday. I think the best part about it are the things they say, to me and to each other, they are just the funnest and funniest little group of kids, I love it.

(Ellie flirted with all the boys the while time, I could NOT get her to stop...we're in trouble)

E: I pooped on the floor...oh no I didn't. I pooped on my toes.

All of the others consist of poop and pee, so I'll spare you.

So due to "The Secret", we are being more positive and having a more positive outlook or expectations for the future and life. I picture myslef happy and healthy, being able to run around all day serving others and my family, it may sound cheesy but I have had nothing but service given to me through this whole ordeal, so I want to repay it, SO badly.

I made a list of the things I am grateful for the other night, these are a few:

I am grateful for good Chiropractic care and natural healing.

I am grateful to live in a free Country.

I am grateful for Spring and good BBQ.

I am grateful for Eleanor and her cute little body that she haphazardly throws on me, while squeezing my face between her tiny hands and saying "I get you Mommy".

I am grateful for Calvy's silly faces and his sweet innocent happiness and tender little heart.

I am grateful for Caleb's undying need to be with me, and his sweet blonde hair and gummy smile.

I am grateful for Alan and his support and endless help and love and desire to do good.

I am grateful for morning and a new day.

Could life be crazier?? Yes, so I will shut up now.

Ok. So I haven't blogged in a while....did you notice?

Well, I have been sick, and busy and tired and sick and busy and tired and busy tearing my two children apart that I haven't had or made much time for blogging. I will not try to catch-up on everything, I will just highlight.

Highlight #1

Well, I wouldn't really call it a highlight, more of a low light, I said good-bye to one of my very great awesome friends, Joce. We had a going away party for her and ate junk food and gave presents and talked, my favorite part would have to be when we passed around the roll of toilet paper and said our favorite memory of Joce. It was a fun, but VERY sad night.

It was touch and go for a awhile as to whether I was going to make it or not without her, dreadful few days. We have opted for Skype, hopefully each week. Her hubby is going to graduate next trimester so they have moved back home, Mass, to get started. Calvy was singing a song yesterday, about living in Massachusetts, it went something like this...."When I grow up I'm going to live in Massachusetts, I will live in Mass, that will be my home, and I will see Cadi in Mass." Those are not the exact words, but you get the point, he and Cadi will be married....you know what that means Joce! hahaha! I love my friend Joce, she is the sweetest most real person you'll ever meet, and her and I exactly alike, which makes our friendship super fun.

Highlight #2

This is also not much of a highlight, but it happened. Alan and I were in the kitchen making breakfast, we were hurrying to get the job done, and lets just say NEVER hold the cup you are pouring the hot grease into, and especially don't do it over the gas stove..while it is lit. Hmm, yes I am a slight idiot. The Spirit whispered to me pretty loudly that it wasn't a good idea, but I was in a hurry and needed it done. I poured the grease it boiled and pooped and scared me so I jerked away putting my hand right into the stream. All three fingers on my left hand were drenched in hot boiling bacon grease. It didn't hurt but I knew that it should so I screamed "grease burn" and help up my hand and ran to the sink, Alan and I were trying to remember what to do with grease burns, he grabbed the baking soda but last minute said just put it in the water, I decided I should wipe it off first with a towel, DON"T DO THAT! Douse it in baking soda! I then put my throbbing fingers in to the freezing faucet water. We decided to wrap them, but couldn't get my hand out of the water without wanting to die! It hurt SO bad, so for 12 hours I sat on the couch with my hand in a bowel of "snow water". My goodness, I am SO thankful they are better now, almost completely healed. I walked around with HUGE bandages on my fingers for a few days, but with the help of some great friends and an AWESOME husband, we made it through. No pics, sorry!

Highlight #3

We had a family camp-in. We set up a tent, made S'mores and read scriptures and stories by the fireplace. It was a fun night.

Highlight #5

We had a Family Vacation! Kinda. I told Alan I needed a break, after my break down. I told him I wanted to go out and eat hamburgers at a diner and stay in a hotel and go to the Temple. So we did. We got some tickets to see Barney live from a friend(thank you!) so Alan took Calvin, and I took Ellie and Caleb to a sitter(a great hubby friend) so my BFF and I cousl go out to dinner, Hamburger #1, we went to Red Robin and got queso, and almost dessert, but we were too full. It was awesome, just talking and being together. Alan and I watched a movie together and went to bed WAY too late.

We went shopping at second hand stores, our favorite past time, had lunch at the Chicken store(Chick-fil-A) and did some other things too...can't remember and this post is already too long.

Our trip to Nauvoo, we ate Chicken store on the way there, and when we got to Nauvoo we got into our suite hotel, yes you read correctly, they upgraded up to the family suite. So awesome! We set the crockpot meal, then left for the Temple, I went in first, then Alan. I love the Temple, I love the feeling there, the kind people and the peace that is there. After the Temple we went swimming!!!!!! Oh my goodness, I LOVE swimming, especially in a heated pool and then soaking in the hot tub. Caleb LOVED the pool, he just sat there in his little floaty and chilled, then he really chilled so we brought him into the hot tub to warm him up. Don't worry, just his feet. Then we went back to our room and ate our crockpot meal, SO doing that again. The next morning the kids watched cartoons while eating their breakfast and we got ready to go on a wagon ride around the outskirts of Nauvoo. That was fun! I want to go camping now. all 3 kids fell asleep on the ride. We ate our version of PB'J for lunch and then headed home.

Our vacation didn't end there though. We got home, unpacked a few things and headed for the cheap theater and saw Tangled for the 3 time. I So Love that movie, I can't wait to own it. I also can't wait for my besties Tangled partay! Then we had dinner at Red Robin, Burger #2. We got onion rings and they were SO good.

It was such a fun family vacation from school and life, so worth all the diarrhea we have now from all that bad food.

Alan is now studying for boards coming up, Oh to be done with this part.....

We have decided to not live for what life will be like, but for how it is now. It is really hard especially when I see cute little houses, it makes me want one of my very own. Just the feeling of knowing we are going to be in a certain spot for a long time, even permanently, wherever that may be. Those will be the days. I'm excited to see our kids grow-up.

Caleb is the sweetest little boy ever! He is "talking" a lot more now, he shakes his head over and over again, it's so cute. He doesn't like things touching the back of his head so he'll shake his head over and over again trying to get whatever it is to go away. So if you touch the back of his head, which I do a lot because of his ridiculously cute and almost edible blonde hair, he'll shake his head. He was shrugging his shoulders this afternoon, he was so cute mimicking me. He is a Momma's boy through and through, we are currently trying to break him of that, just to the point where he doesn't cry whenever I am not around or holding him. He's doing pretty good, he's playing on the floor right now laughing and yelling, oh and pooping.

Ellie is really talking now, she uses complete full sentences and has learned to express herself quite well. She's so funny, Alan told her to give me a cookie which I said no thank you to, and she walked back to Alan and said "Uh, I sink see doesn't wanna have a cookie" and gave it back to him. I was impressed that she was able to say that, and that she didn't eat the cookie. She's definately going to give us a run for our money when it comes to boys. While we were sitting in the hot tub in Nauvoo there was a 11 year old boy there. She walked up to him and said "my name is Ellienoyr(that's how she says her name, hard to try and spell)" She would not leave him alone, she was running and skipping around trying to get him to notice her, she finally just went right up to him and hit him and smiled. That got his attention.

Calvin is growing more and more and more and more funny. Yesterday while praying over lunch he prayed that Heavenly Father would help him turn 5. He is learning so much, I am so proud of him and his tender little heart and his smart little brain. He's just a great kid.

E: "I will be a kitty"

C: "I will be Father.

E: "I will be kitty."

C: "I will be Heavenly Father. Please come with me bad guy, I don't want you in this world, this beautiful world, you are making it an ugly world."

C: "Look Mommy, Earth! We live on Earth."
