The Zoo!

The Niabi Zoo had a free week so we met up with a few friends and had so much fun.
Super fuzzy, but my face is focused(not exactly what I wanted) but my super cool friend Tiffany(I think, I am horrible with names) took this for me, and in her defense my camera takes a while to focus and on a moving target you can see that this would be hard, so I'd say she did a pretty good job. Calvy LOVED the carousel, he had so much fun riding the elephant, once he got off he was face to face with a jaguar and caught him off guard. I told him it was going to get him, and he ran saying "he's gonna get you mom" which sounds a little more like "gu-getchew mom".
The king on his thrown. With his super cool sunglasses which he wore the whle time. I had to remind him to take them off when we would go into the indoor exhibits because he couldn't see anhything. I would ask him if he could see something and he would just repeat what I was saying.
Mom: Do you see that Calvy? Do you see the bird?
Calvy: Do you see it?
Mom: No, Calvy. Do you see the bird up there?
Calvy: Do you see it? Up there.
It was really cute. He's so fun.
Him and his cute friends. He saw trhe two of them holding hands so he comes up to me and grabs my hand and says "hold hand" It was so cute because he never wants to hold my hand...EVER. He loves to copy his friends and people he looks up to, which is everyone, he's very small. ;0)
We were looking at the girrafs. We had made a quick run through to meet up with our friends so I think he is just soaking everything in, especially the AWESOME sun. We love the sun here in D-port. It has been such a beautiful week, we are so grateful to be blessed with such great weather.

Hallelujah!!!!

To many of you this picture doesn't mean a lot. But to the others you know that this is a HUGE breakthrough. My little baby Elle is FINALLY, and I mean finally, taking a pacifier. Before this girl would suck and suck on her hands, lips and air. But now she has gotten past the gagging and is now suckin away on her cute little pacifier. Alsy and I have mixed feelings about this. I am very happy that she is finally able to suck and be comfortable(and sleep a little better), but now we can't see her cute little smile and happy face. So I think what I am going to do is limit it to a sleeping thing. I am very torn, I do not want her to have the need for a binky, but some kids just like to suck. Calvy never took one, so this is new to me, and like I said we have mixed feelings. But I am happy for now, a little bitter sweet.
I know it's not the end of the world, don't misunderstand me, I am not stressed about it at all, just weighing things out. I do have to admit that she is super cute with it though.
These we just some fun pictures. I am a freak, I can't stop taking pictures. I feel a little guilty though, I take a million of Elle and just a few of Calvy, lets face it a little boy doesn't look so cute in a flower and nakiey bum.....well maybe he does. I need some ideas, help me think of some fun poses for him to do so I can get some cute pics of him too.

Easter Morning

Well this is us after church on Easter Sunday. My super cute kids in their super cute Easter clothes. And no, I did not dye my hair, for some reason it just looks dark in these pics.

Calvy is all of a sudden not smiling for us. When we tell him to smile all he does is repeat us, I think because we'd tell him to say "Cheese". So Alsy is inthe background showing him what to do. It was really cute, we have a lot of him with his tongue out and making silly faces. I like this one cuz he's cheezey and and she's got her tongue out, which is so her. Someone give this girl a pacifier!

Our cute family...don't we look handsome. We had Stake Conference, it was a broadcast so we got to hear Pred. Monson and Hunter talk, it was really great.

This is Calvy and his Easter basket. Do you see what I'm saying about the Cheeziness? He cracks me up. He has been asking for sunglasses for a long time, so I got him some super cool Diego glasses, he loves them, he wore them to church, upside down of course.

We had a great day full of Peeps, other candy, ham and potatoes and a visit from our neighbors with some really yummy banana cake. Happy Easter everyone, I hop you had a good one.

I just want you all to know that I am grateul for Our Savior and for His resurrection so we can live with our Father in Heaven again. I hope we can all remember the true meaning behind Easter, not the bunnies and eggs, but our Savior and what an amazing example He was to us all. I am so grateful for the Gospel and the wonderful knowledge that it has given me. I love the the Gospel and am grateful for The Plan of Salvation, I am truly excited to be with my family forever, I love them all so much.

Easter Weekend Camping

Out of order, sorry I am so not in the mood to re-do this. I love this picture because if you look closely Nixon found an egg too. Calvy was looking at our neighbors dog. He is insistant at barking at us when we are out. He's REALLY annoying.
When we got home from camping I decided to through the eggs back out and let him do a little hunt while we cleaned out the car.

This is little Elle on the way home. We are so in love with our little girl. All three of us just love her to pieces, her and those big blue eyes just melt our hearts.

These are out friends who invited us, they are awesome, true good attitude motivators, they are super handy and super awesome. I love that you can see his wife laughing in the background as he goes down the slide.

So out of order...Easter egg hunt while camping(they had a playground).
It was pretty cold and windy, so Elle was bundled up the whole time.

She is so funny, she is always wanting to stand or sit-up and look around. She is almost rolling over, this little girl is so fun.
Calvy got to drive back from the caves. He loved it, he's always asking to drive.

We went camping! I love to camp. This camping experience was.....cold. We had so much fun with our good friends who invited us along. We had good food and good company. The night was a little cold and uncomfortable, but it was a lot of fun, I will totally do it again....in the warmer months.
We went to a place called Makoqueta Caves. It was really cool, my dad is definately going to want to come to this place with his new knowledge of the Book of Mormon History. Way cool to think of what it was like back in Nephite times.

Decorating, baking, and playing.

My front room is always changing. If you haven't been to my house in a few weeks, it's totally different from how you remember.

So these are really out of order, but this is my bathroom that I'm redecorating. It is very far from finished, but I wanted to show my mom, because she is the only one that has seen my house. Anyway here it is. In this picture I covered the matting that came with the frame with paper from Hobby Lobby, for $.25. Not too bad.

So my shower curtain is an outdoor curtain panel, it was $10 at Hobby Lobby. Thanks to my awesome friend, I found it and bought it. It isn't quite big enough for a curtain so I am using it as a drape, but it is plenty long, I still have about a foot to cut off the bottom. And the rug is from Walmart.
Who says camping isn't an excuse to PIG out.
Just a fun pic of Easter decor.

Ok, so I am no cookie decorator, and I don't have any supplies, just plastic baggies. But, I wanted to make a cookie basket so bad because I got these really HUGE cutters and wanted to try them out. So I used my good friend Cassie as a guinea pig. She said they were good. So maybe I'll do it again...we'll see.

Alsy has a skin marking pen for Chiro so he decided it would be really funny to paint a smiley face on Calvy...turns out it was. He came funning is saying "face, paint face" it was so funny, though not at first, but when I found out it wasn't marker I was ok with it.
I think this is when I was away at Enrichment, if it is this night my sweet husband cleaned up puke just after this. He's so sweet, he didn't even call me or text me to complain or ask me to come home, he just cleaned it up. He's such a great husband and daddy. It was really nice not to have to come home and clean up puke.
This is Sunday morning before Church. She is so sweet. She was all smiles, but I like the serious pics. I'm really artsy that way. ;)
