Another Calvy Post

Let me just say that I am so excited for Elle to grow up, I can't wait to have two little Barnes/McLaws kids running around. Calvy is so fun and so sweet, I'm just so excited.
Today Daddy set Calvy in his carseat just for a second so he could turn the car on and get the A/C going, then he forgot about it and we started to drive away. Calvy kept saying something to me and I was just kind of ignoring it, but then turned around to fin out what he wanted. At first I thought it was just because he droppe his toy on the ground so I picke it up andgave it to him, but his face was not satisfied so I knew that's not what he was saying. I asked him again and he said "seat belt" I looked at his straps and we were driving without him being buckled in. So, of course we pulled over and buckled him in, thankfully we hadn't left the parking lot. He's such a good kid, we are so thankful for him, especially because this little Elle, she is a fire ball.

He remembered another good thing just before lunch too. We had the places all set and ready to eat but we were still getting odd things like forks and drinks, and Calvy didn't touch his plate, he just kept saying "Prayer. Prayer. Prayer" Such a good boy. Please don't take any of my doting to be a braggy mom, because we are FULLY aware that it is not all our doing, he is just naturally a good kid, and we are so thankful that we have him, he has the funniest personality and the cutest little quirks. I'm seriously so excited for Elle to start showing more of hers.

BTW, Elle is rolling over, almost sitting up by hersslf and has almost complete control of her hands. It's so excited to see her grow and develope, it seems to happened so fast all at once. I love it. She is just like her brother too, she'll fall asleep anywhere. Just now she rolled over onto her tummy and when her brother left to go outside she whined a little, but then was suddenly quiet, apparently she was tired. So now I just need to get the 2 year old to follow step. :)

Seriously, we love being parents, it's the best job. At times the hardest and sometimes I don't think I'm cut out for it and want to quit, but then there are times like these, and it makes it easy to forget the bad.

I have the funniest 2 1/2 year old

So Calvy walks in after a diaper change with his dad and says something that I can't understand. Daddy, pretty regularly, sends Calvy to come say things to me, so I figured this is what was going on. So I ask him what he said, and he says it again, I still don't understand, it sounded something like, "I want to be a caller". Daddy comes in and says, "He's trying to tell you that he wants to be a 'Shot-Caller'" So we laugh and move on. But for the next few minutes Calvy won't leave me alone, he keeps saying "I wanna be a Shot-caller", seriously, following me around and saying it, whyning it rather. So finally I go and get a fuzzy orange hat and say "Ok, here you go, this is your 'Shot-caller' Hat" He was so satisfied. This morning he put the hat on before we left for the park and said "I shot-caller" and just now he walked in with the hat on and said he was the Shot-caller and then put the hat on Elle and said "sister shot-caller". He is the funniest kid, there is no need for television in our house, Calvy is COMPLETE entertainment.

Calvy Conversation

This was our morning prayer over breakfast. Alsy is right in the middle of all his finals, he's particularly worried about one class, PNS (Peripheral Nervous System).

Me: Bless the food.
C: Bess Food
Me: Thank you for this day
C: Thank for a Day
Me: Bless Daddy
C: Bess Daddy
Me: That he may do well
C: Do well
Me: And pass PNS
C: And pass PENIS

We had fun.

Earth worm. Daddy brought in a "treat" before bath time. Calvy was very interested in it. He kept saying "Batteries on it", which translates to "put some batteries in it". Apparently the earth worm was not moving as much as he wanted it to , so he wanted to put some batteries in it to make it move. He's so fun, I love it. P.S. Daddy found it while taking out the recycle that is why it's in a Bean can.

She was doing this during dinner. It was so cute. Daddy kept telling her to do her Super man, and she'd do these poses. It's so funny the "poses" they do when they have only some control of their movements.

I just found this one from that other photo-shoot and wanted to post it, because...well because it's a cute funny face.
I wanted to post this one because she is posing on my blanket that my Grandmother made for me when I got married. These aren't the greatest pictures, but I love that they are on my Grandma Blanket.
