Shout Hurray!

They've had a Birthday.
My two babies had yet another Birthday last week. We were traveling on Ellie's so we celebrated both their days on Saturday. We had the best time!
We woke up and had pancakes, well Calvy asked for cereal without milk, the rest of us had pancakes with butter, honey and strawberries.
After breakfast we went to a local bakery down town so the children would pick out their very own special Birthday cupcake....only they aren't open Saturdays, so we improvised and went to a local grocery store bakery where they did not have cupcakes, unless we wanted to buy a dozen, so they each got their own little cake. After an hour long mishap in the grocery store(long story), we headed for Golden Coral for lunch. You may think it an interesting choice for a Birthday lunch, but our upstairs neighbor gave us a gift card, and that's within our budget...free lunch. The children ate shrimp and french fries and salad, then moved onto gummy bears and ice-cream. Calvy ate his entire bowl and had this to say after, "my tummy really hurts, I ate too much ice-cream"...I hope we learned a lesson there. ;0)
After lunch we headed for Monkey Joes, a big room full of bounce houses, SO FUN! The kids had a blast and were running around everywhere. I couldn't believe how fun it was just to see them running around really enjoying themselves. Calvy was so brave and so good at climbing, Ellie wasn't far behind. Though she is a bit less coordinated, she was all over those bound houses. Alan and I got a bit of a work out going through the obstacle courses as well.
On the way home we grabbed a pizza and wings. We all ate in the front room and watched "The Backyardigans" then sang "Happy Birthday" and they ate their cakes. All-in-all it was a great day, we were all exhausted afterward, which is always a good sign of a successful Birthday.

Calvy's cereal, "with no milk".
Ellie's butterfly pancake.
Calvin was beaming the whole time we sang to him. I think he felt super special, which he should, it was his Birthday.
Ellie was just ridiculously cute, she loved the candles, and the fact that that cake was all hers.

Happy Birthday you two, we LOVE you!!!!!!!
